Original show notes from this episode:

For the time being, RBDF is back. Will it stay or will you have to wait another year before there is another episode? Only time will tell. Things have been rough. Really rough. RBDF is now in it’s fifth studio space in 7 years. There is a really uninteresting story behind that, that is why I don’t even mention it during the show. RBDF lost several friends of the show last year, and it still hurts to talk about it. In due time, I will find the proper way to express my thoughts and honor the memories of Jamie Duffy, Jeff “Critter” Newell, Bill Kennedy, Bruce Manning, Mike Scaccia and a few others. For now, it was just easier to just put this train back on it’s tracks.

Your feedback is always welcome and greatly encouraged. Message me at chromesj@yahoo.com.

Here is the set list for this show:

  • Element A440 – Kookie Kutter [Whips, Knives, Candles and Quills] (2013)

Original show notes from this episode:

A few weeks ago, Duffman took it upon himself to appease the hungry Razor Blade Dance Floor listeners with an “unofficial” episode of RBDF. Using the obvious reversal of the show’s internet call letters, the episode went online as “FBDR.” Dozens of listeners were able to enjoy this episode through an underground network called ‘Facebook,’ but many of the shows regular listeners were left in the dark. Through a confusing relay of poor communication and an eventual misunderstanding between the shows creator and the shows owner, it was decided that this show had no place as an “unofficial” episode. So now it has been sanctioned as an official episode, and will now be referred to as “Episode #163.”

The set list is as follows:

  • Red Online – On The Earth [Puppets In The Game] (2011)
  • 9th Evolution – 9E INC [9E INC] (2013)
  • Project Silence – Alone (Crushed By Your Lies) [424] (2012)
  • WVM – Escapism [The End Is Only The Beginning] (2013)
  • Youth A.D. – She Loves Her Suicide [Corporate Dogs] (2011)
  • Deconbrio – Sledgehammer [Tainted Candy: A Tribute to 80’s New Wave] (2013)
  • The Gothsicles – Photograph (Featuring Dan Clark of The Dark Clan) [Spandex on the Sunset Strip: A Tribute to 80’s Metal] (2012)
  • Mickle Boulevard – Revenge [Tainted Candy: A Tribute to 80’s New Wave] (2012)
  • Duffy Laudick – That’s Good [Tainted Candy: A Tribute to 80’s New Wave] (2012)

Original show notes from this episode:

The “Lost” Society Burning Interview

In November of 2010, I conducted an interview with all 3 members of Society Burning the night before I suffered a catastrophic failure with my computer. At that time, and for months following, I thought that all was lost. Today, after using hard drive sector recovery software, I was finally able to retrieve the file that was the interview.

So after months of advertising the infamous review, I can finally present to you the final version of the interview. The actual interview lasted almost 40 minutes longer, but a lot of it was the 4 of us trying to get on the same page, so I edited out all of the mayhem and gave you the most listenable version of this conversation.

I think that you will enjoy it. There is a lot of ground covered, and you will find that not only are Society Burning a great band, they are an even better group of individuals. They are talented artists, great human beings, fans of this music, and also wonderful friends.

I thank them for their time, as well as their patience in getting this interview up. It may be 18 months later, but the information that we cover is still very relevant.

I also thank you, the listeners of the show and fans of Society Burning for waiting this long for this “lost” interview to finally be unveiled. Your long wait for this moment has finally been rewarded.

and more!

Enjoy this really fun interview. And please forgive the quality issues. This was a pretty intense undertaking that didn’t come without it’s share of battle wounds

Original show notes from this episode:

Once again, Chrome Skin Jesus has fallen down on the job (figuratively, not literally, duh) and turned over the mic to one of his closest friends and fellow 16volt ‘bored buddy,’ Diabeticus. As all guests hosts that take over the show do, he has taken a few liberties to give his own signature spin on the world of industrial rock.  You will find interesting insight, bands you may have never considered industrial rock (but strangely work within the framework of the genre), a stellar club oriented extended set and PLENTY OF 16VOLT.

So here is what gets spun on this weeks episode of Razor Blade Dance Floor:

  • Einstürzende Neubauten – “Zuckendes Fleisch” [Kalte Sterne] (1981/2004)
  • Gary Numan – “Dominion Day” [Hybrid] (2003)
  • James Ray Gangwar – “Hardwar” (Dios Está De Nuestro Lado) 1992
  • [Best Of James Ray’s Performance & Gangwar] (1996)
  • The March Violets – “Radiant Boys” [Natural History] (1984)/[The Botanic Verses] (1993)
  • Dessau – “Unshakeable” [The Truth Hurts 1985-2000] (2009)
  • Black Flag – “It’s All Up To You” [In My Head] (1985)
  • 16volt – “Built To Last” [Skin] (1994)
  • Big Black – “Jordan, Minnesota” [The Rich Man’s Eight Track Tape] (1987)
  • Meat Beat Manifesto – “Suicide” [Underworld: Evolution (Original Soundtrack)] (2006)
  • Nitzer Ebb – “Higher” [As Is] (1991)
  • Butthole Surfers – “American Woman” [Rembrandt Pussyhorse] (1986)
  • Foetus Corruptus – “Hate Feeler” [Rife] (1988)
  • Streak – “Groovy Booty” [Break Away] (2008)
  • Apoptygma Berzerk – “Eclipse” [Live]

  • Die Krupps – “Fatherland (Sisters of Mercy Remix)” [Fatherland Maxi Single] (1995)
  • Iron Lung Corporation – “Chmikaze” [Big Shiny Spears] (1996)
  • Pop Will Eat Itself – “Axe of Men 2010 (Crabbi Remix)” [Demon/Axe of Men 2010] (2010)
  • Consolidated – “Consolidated (Adorno Strength Mix)” [Consolidated] (1989)
  • God Lives Underwater – “1% (The Long Way Down)” [upoffthefloor] (2004)
  • KMFDM – “Not In My Name (Check Yourself Mix / 16volt Remix)” [Brimborium] (2008)
  • Frontline Assembly – “Search and Destroy” [Millenium] (1994)
  • Cyanotic – “Dream It Dead (w/Mind Flux Funeral) [Prehab 25mg-EP] (2009)
  • Christ Analogue – “This Shall Not Breathe”  [In Radiant Decay] (1997)
  • Lard – “Sidewinder” [Pure Chewing Satisfaction] (1997)
  • Ministry – “Burning Inside (12inch Remix)” – [Buring Inside 12″] (1989)
  • 16volt – “The Lord Doesn’t Want Her” [American Porn Songs] (2009)
  • Pailhead – “I Will Refuse” [Trait] (1987)
  • Slave Unit – “Frostbite (Sterile Mix)” (Slave Unit) (1996)
  • Some Desperate Glory – “Your Words” (Survivalist) 2009
  • 16volt – “Enjoy the Pain (dreDDup Remix)” [Unreleased Remix] (2010)

A giant set of music that is sure to please every angle of industrial rock’s varied perspective.

The next 2 episodes will also be hosted by guests while Chrome Skin Jesus escapes the deathgrip of his job and takes refuge in an undisclosed location somewhere in the vicinity of Charlotte, North Carolina.
