Razor Blade Dance Floor Podcast: Episode 135

Original show notes from this episode:

Another interview show for everyone to enjoy. The first part of the show is a sit down conversation that I had with Eric Powell of 16volt, who makes his third appearance on the show to discuss the Midi Ghetto tour, Hellb3nt, American Porn Songs Remixed and the next 16volt album, Everyone is Sinking (or is it Everyone is Syncing?)!

The second part of the show wasn’t exactly what I was planning, so I threw it together on the fly.

Anyways, things went astray and I decided that I was depriving you guys of a regular show, so I went ahead and decided that I could pack on a somewhat condensed show at the tail end of the Eric Powell interview.

Here is what is heard on the show:

  • 16volt – Things Unkind [Electronic Saviors: Industrial Music To Cure Cancer] (2010)
  • Hellbent – Jet Boy Machine [Hardcore Vanilla] (2001)
  • Combichrist – Scarred [Scarred Single] (2010)
  • KMFDM – Day of Light [Day of Light Single] (2010)
  • Omega Lithium – Andromeda [Dreams In Formaline] (2010)
  • Minim – I’m Crazy But People Are Ill [9567: Here Even It’s Yesterday] (2010)
  • Megaherz – Heuchler (Steinkind Remix) [Loblieder] (2010)
  • Eisbrecher – Gothkiller [Eiszeit] (2010)
  • Cold Divide – Distance [Grand Manipulations] (2009)
  • Porn – Call Me [A Decade of Glitter and Danger] (2010)
  • Revolting Cocks – Juice [Got Cock?] (2010)
  • Nanochrist – Chaos Mirror [Dead Fiction] (2009)
  • Al Jourgensen – Voices In My Head [Voices In My Head Single] (2010)

Keep supporting the artists. Those who are doing it, you fucking rock! Those who aren’t…you suck.

This is an episode that I never, ever wanted to make. If you like only the music, then you will enjoy this episode of collected classic industrial rock tracks. Razor Blade Dance Floor Podcast: Episode 124

Archive release of episode 124 of Razor Blade Dance Floor.

Originally published on January 10, 2010

Original show notes from this episode:

Here is an episode that takes the time to look ahead, but with the recent passing of Wax Trax co-founder Dannie Flesher, it was necessary to take a look back. Because, after all, in order to know where you are going, you need to know where you have been. So the show starts off with a tribute of sorts to Dannie, as well as his partner Jim Nash who was lost to us back in 1995. I just hope that I did those two fine gentlemen some sort of service.

Following the Opening tribute set, there is plenty of drunken banter about what everyone can look forward to seeing and hearing this year. Somehow in the midst of all of this talk, I find a way to play some music. Here is what is played n the show:

  • Revolting Cocks – No Devotion (12″ Version) [Big Sexy Land] (1986)
  • My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult – The Days of Swine & Roses (KMFDM Mix) [The Days of Swine & Roses/Naïve (Single)] (1990)
  • A Split Second – Rigor Mortis [A Split Second] (1988)
  • Front Line Assembly – Resist [Caustic Grip] (1990)
  • Sister Machine Gun – Not My God [Sins of the Flesh] (1993)
  • Youth A.D. – State of Terror [Dark: Scene Volume 10] (2009)
  • Dreddup – Wheels [Advance Album Preview] (2010/2011)
  • KMFDM – Bait & Switch (Sacred Cow Mix by Prong) [Krieg] (2009)
  • Skold – Bullets Ricochet [Bullets Ricochet Single]
  • UCNX – 21st Century [Songs From The Hydrogen Bar: A Tribute To Chemlab] (2006)
  • Society Burning – Double Plus Minus [Internal Combustion (Rough Mix/Demo)] (2010)
  • The Rabid Whole – Selfish Nature (16 Volt Remix) [000] (2009)
  • Left Spine Down – Reset (Stiff Valentine Remix) [Smartbomb 2.3: The Underground Mixes (Disc 1)] (2009)
  • Die Krupps – Wahre Arbeit Wahrer Lohn (Featuring Douglas McCarthy) [Extended Electronics] (2006)
  • Melt – P.O.S. [Unreleased Demo] (2010)
  • B.O.S.C.H. – So Weit [Einsam] (2010)

Your New Years resolution this year should be to enjoy life to the fullest. Get out and support the bands and let the music of this year carry you to great heights. At least that is what my resolution is…

Original show notes from this episode:

Current domestic and occupational difficulties are making my production of this show rather difficult, but nothing was going to stop me from putting this show out. I am as obnoxious as ever (probably due to drinking almost 2 liters of Coca Cola prior to production), but the great music will distract you from the fact that I can be an annoying prick sometimes.  At any rate, here is the track list that should get you jazzed to listen to the show:

  • Blind With Rain – A Transmission of Data in the Static (Shadowjack Remix) [Again (Single)] (2009)
  • Sunna – Spider [Two Minute Terror] (2009)
  • Bound In Oblivion – In Der Maschine (Deconstructing The Whore Mix) [The Way Back Down] (2007)
  • Cynergy67 – Alive Inside [Project:Assimilation] (2009)
  • We Got This Far – So This Is Doom [BluntForceVolume] (2009)
  • Revolting Cocks – Abundant Redundancy (Clockworks and Cold Steel Mix) [Sex-O Mixxx-O] (2009)
  • Zombie Girl – The Darkness (Komor Kommando Mix) [Endzeit Bunkertracks: Act IV] (2009)
  • Mona Lisa Overdrive – Nothing To Lose [Mona Lisa Overdrive] (2009)
  • Helltrash – Cyber Messiah (SkabDriver Remix) [A Digital Fist] (2009)
  • Powerman 5000 – Horror Show [Somewhere On The Other Side of Nowhere] (2009)
  • Vigilante – The New Resistance [Life Is a Battlefield] (2009)
  • Sybreed – I am Ultraviolence [The Pulse of Awakening] (2009)
  • Wretched Asylum – Mind Prison [Seclusion] (2006)
  • The Amenta – Vermin [n0n] (2008)
  • The Berzerker – Caught In The Crossfire (Zardonic Mix) [The Reawakening] (2008)
  • Ministry – The Last Sucker (Hardware Revamp Mix) [The Last Dubber] (2009)

Thanks for your support. I’m sure the bands/artists thank you as well. Unless, of course, you are stealing their music. If you are, then we say FUCK YOU!
