Original show notes from this episode:

Any time that I can find a 2 hour window in which I can do this podcast, I’m going to do it. Sadly enough, this has been the first opportunity since mid-March. This show features more of the releases that I collected prior to May 2012, so most of this music is now over a year old. That’s pretty sad on my part, isn’t it?

It isn’t pretty, but it is a show nonetheless.

Take it or leave it.

Here is what you will get to hear on this episode:

  • Celldweller – Blackstar [Wish Upon a Blackstar] (2012)
  • Our Existence is Punishment – The Death Instinct [The Horrid Truth Still untold] (2011)
  • Paul Barker (With Taylor Momsen) – Victory [Fix This!] (2012)
  • DDM – Becoming Perception [Lucidity] (2011)
  • Cryogen Second (With Sarah Chenoweth) – Thirty-Eight [Electronic Saviors 2: Recurrence] (2012)
  • Unit:187 – Rolling Vengeance (Remixed by Ken “Hiwatt” Marshall and Cevin Key) [Transfusion] (2012)
  • Desdemona – In Flames [Endorphins] (2012)
  • P.H.O.B.O.S. – Transonic Mahasamadhi [Atonal Hypermnesia] (2012)
  • Shellshock – Crisis [Born From Decline] (2012)
  • The Rabid Whole – Future [Refuge] (2012)
  • Hannibal – Somebody Wake Me [Cyberia] (2012)
  • Oomph! – Such Mich Find Mich [Des Wahnsinns Fete Beute] (2012)
  • Tyrant of Death – Transmogrification [Re Connect] (2012)
  • JK Felsh – Earthmover [Posthuman] (2012)
  • Killing Joke – Rapture [MMXII] (2012)
  • Marilyn Manson – Overneath the Path of Misery [Born Villain] (2012)

Support the artists. PLEASE!!!

Original show notes from this episode:

Hello there!

First off, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your patience and continued support of not only my podcast, but the machine rock scene in general. Without you, it would be hard for me to make this show, and for the bands to make the music.

Second, I need you all to be aware that the voiceprints on this episode are a little shaky. I came home after a 12 hour shift and decided that I was loaded with energy and the time was right to make an episode of Razor Blade Dance Floor.

Third, the inconsistency of the podcast release schedule will probably continue in to the new year. I would like to return to a weekly format, but my day job isn’t going to allow for that to happen any time soon.

So sit back, relax, crank the volume as loud as you can tolerate, and enjoy the show!

Here is what can be expected on this episode:

  • Art Versus Industry – Play God [Movement I] (2011)
  • Omega Lithium – Strip Me [Kinetik] (2011)
  • The Rabid Whole – Collapse (Temptaion mix By Sebastian Komor) [Autraumaton Remixed] (2011)
  • Vertical Section – Paragon [Death Throes] (2011)
  • The Gothsicles – Infl8tr (Deathproof Mix) [Deathproof for DJ’s Only Release] (2011)
  • Promonium Jesters – Revival Gun [Revival Gun Single] (2010)
  • Skinmask – Darklight [Skinmask] (2011)
  • The Black Dots of Death – Lower Than Dirt [Ever Since We Were Children] (2011)
  • Necro Facility – Ignite [Wintermute] (2011)
  • Common Man Down – Self Addiction [Self Addiction] (2011)
  • Die Krupps – The Chameleon Man [Als Wären Wir Für Immer] (2010)
  • The Prodigy – Thunder [World’s On Fire] (2011)
  • Mach Fox – Like The Dragon [The Sky Is Falling] (2011)
  • Microwaved – Blood [Desperation Upon The Wings of Angels] (2011)

Razor Blade Dance Floor Podcast: Episode 124

Archive release of episode 124 of Razor Blade Dance Floor.

Originally published on January 10, 2010

Original show notes from this episode:

Here is an episode that takes the time to look ahead, but with the recent passing of Wax Trax co-founder Dannie Flesher, it was necessary to take a look back. Because, after all, in order to know where you are going, you need to know where you have been. So the show starts off with a tribute of sorts to Dannie, as well as his partner Jim Nash who was lost to us back in 1995. I just hope that I did those two fine gentlemen some sort of service.

Following the Opening tribute set, there is plenty of drunken banter about what everyone can look forward to seeing and hearing this year. Somehow in the midst of all of this talk, I find a way to play some music. Here is what is played n the show:

  • Revolting Cocks – No Devotion (12″ Version) [Big Sexy Land] (1986)
  • My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult – The Days of Swine & Roses (KMFDM Mix) [The Days of Swine & Roses/Naïve (Single)] (1990)
  • A Split Second – Rigor Mortis [A Split Second] (1988)
  • Front Line Assembly – Resist [Caustic Grip] (1990)
  • Sister Machine Gun – Not My God [Sins of the Flesh] (1993)
  • Youth A.D. – State of Terror [Dark: Scene Volume 10] (2009)
  • Dreddup – Wheels [Advance Album Preview] (2010/2011)
  • KMFDM – Bait & Switch (Sacred Cow Mix by Prong) [Krieg] (2009)
  • Skold – Bullets Ricochet [Bullets Ricochet Single]
  • UCNX – 21st Century [Songs From The Hydrogen Bar: A Tribute To Chemlab] (2006)
  • Society Burning – Double Plus Minus [Internal Combustion (Rough Mix/Demo)] (2010)
  • The Rabid Whole – Selfish Nature (16 Volt Remix) [000] (2009)
  • Left Spine Down – Reset (Stiff Valentine Remix) [Smartbomb 2.3: The Underground Mixes (Disc 1)] (2009)
  • Die Krupps – Wahre Arbeit Wahrer Lohn (Featuring Douglas McCarthy) [Extended Electronics] (2006)
  • Melt – P.O.S. [Unreleased Demo] (2010)
  • B.O.S.C.H. – So Weit [Einsam] (2010)

Your New Years resolution this year should be to enjoy life to the fullest. Get out and support the bands and let the music of this year carry you to great heights. At least that is what my resolution is…

Original show notes from this episode:

Here is an episode that comes together at the last minute and then takes on a life of it’s own.  In the middle of preparing this episode, I was contacted by Bit Riot Records to get an interview done with Everything Goes Cold to help promote their great new album “Everything Goes Cold vs. General Failure.” This is something I really wanted to do, but given my retarded work schedule, I was afraid that I couldn’t pull it off.

Long story short, we made it happen. Eric Gottesman sat down with me on December 10th and discussed the debut full-length Everything Goes Cold release, and despite the difficulties that ensued (which you will witness in this podcast) it turned out really well.

Since I didn’t think that I was going to be able to put together a podcast until early in the new year, I figured that I was still obligated to produce a regular show.

So you get 2 shows in 1. The first part is the interview with Eric Gottesman, the second part is a regular version of the Razor Blade Dance Floor.

It’s long but worth it. And I’m not just saying that because it’s my show. OK. Maybe I am…

  • Everything Goes Cold – Retry [Everything Goes Cold Vs. General Failure] (2009)
  • Everything Goes Cold – Ice Brigade [Everything Goes Cold Vs. General Failure] (2009)
  • Battle Scream – Secret Invasion [Suffering Vs. Salvation] (2009)
  • Cell 7 – Red [Re:cognition] (2009)
  • Rivethead – Stay Alive [Zero Gravity] (2009)
  • Sarcophony – To The Bone [Violence] (2009)
  • The Rabid Whole – Selfish Nature (16 Volt Remix) [000] (2009)
  • I Will Never Be the Same – Eyes Turning Black [Standby] (2009)
  • Die! – Schoner Schein [Still] (2009)
  • Zeromancer – It Sounds Like Love (But Looks Like Sex) [It Sounds Like Love (But Looks Like Sex EP)] (2009)
  • I:Scintilla – Hollowed [Prey On You] (2009)
  • Blitzkill – Play Hard [Sinnestäter] (2009)
  • Panic Lift – Hourglass [Black Snow:The Completely Different Xmas Compilation] (2009)
  • Jabberwock – Xparty (Xmas Xceptional Version) [Black Snow:The Completely Different Xmas Compilation] (2009)
